For Parents & Kids

Conviction League is a free, simulatedgame that quietly teaches quantitative finance. Kids collect and train friendly “strategy critters” and compete on a leaderboard using historical and simulated market data.

There is no real money anywhere in the game. No real trading, no accounts to fund, no deposits, no withdrawals, and nothing to buy. Everything is play money for learning. The game is not financial advice and should never be used to make real investment decisions.

This notice is written with U.S. children’s-privacy rules (COPPA) in mind for players under 13, but the exact obligations depend on where you live and must be confirmed on legal review.

We keep this as small as possible:

• Guest play needs no personal details. A child can play as an anonymous guest without giving an email address or name.
• Optional account.If you choose to create an account, it uses an email address and password (handled by our authentication provider, Supabase Auth). For a younger child, this should be a parent’s email and should be set up with a parent’s involvement.
• Gameplay & analytics events. When analytics are enabled, we record in-game actions (screens opened, drafts, matches) in our analytics store (ClickHouse) to understand and improve the game. These events are about gameplay, not about tracking a child across the web.
• Optional referral codes. If a code is used or shared, we record it to attribute the referral.

• We do not sell or rent any child’s personal data.
• We do not show advertising or run ad-tracking.
• We do not ask children for real financial information, payment details, or more personal information than the game needs.
• We do not knowingly ask children to share personal information publicly.

Parents and guardians can, at any time, ask us to show what information (if any) we have about their child, ask us to stop collecting more, and ask us to delete it. To confirm a request comes from a parent, we may need to verify your relationship to the child. The exact consent and verification steps will be finalized on legal review.

To review or delete a child’s account and associated data, email us at [CONTACT EMAIL]with the account’s email address (or a note that it was guest play) and a short description of your request. We will remove the personal data we hold, except where we are required to keep something by law. Guest sessions store very little and can also be cleared by clearing the browser’s storage on the device.
